This book analyzes the Mexican Energy Reform carried out between 2012 and 2017. It explains why the reform was essential and addressess the problems and delays that existed at the time. Moreover, it presents the benefits seen in other countries with similar reforms to the Mexican one. It extensively describes the content of the Mexican Energy Reform, explaining in detail its elements and the modifications that each one implied. It describes the reform's implementation process and some of the immediate benefits that have been accomplished. On the other hand, this work proposes what can be expected from the Energy Reform, as well as the challenges that we will inevitably face. Finally, a comment is made in relation to what can be concluded about the Energy Reform.
